SkillQnect – Terms of Service

Welcome to SkillQnect! These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a
legal agreement between you and SkillQnect Inc. and apply to your use
of our website, mobile application, and services (collectively, the
"Platform"). These Terms are applicable globally, with jurisdictional
notes specific to Canada, USA, and India.
By accessing or using SkillQnect, you agree to be bound by these
Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. Our Mission
SkillQnect’s mission is to unlock global learning potential by connecting experts and learners across diverse skills and industries to enable knowledge exchange, discovery, and economic opportunity.
2. Services
SkillQnect enables:
- Experts to offer one-on-one or group sessions
- Learners to book, learn, and engage
- A trusted platform to facilitate payments, communications, reviews, and scheduling
3. Eligibility
To use SkillQnect, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old or legal age in your jurisdiction
- Have the legal capacity to form a binding contract
- Use your real identity and accurate details
SkillQnect is not available to individuals under the minimum age or to users previously banned for policy violations.
4. User Account Obligations
You agree to:
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Not share your account or misrepresent your identity
- Follow all applicable laws and SkillQnect policies
If the Platform is provided by your employer or institution, that party may access usage reports but not your personal messages or learning history.
5. Payments and Pricing
When you purchase sessions:
- You agree to the price listed including applicable taxes and platform fees
- Payments are processed securely through third-party providers such as Stripe or Razorpay
- Subscription or recurring services will auto-renew unless canceled in advance
SkillQnect may securely store your payment method and apply it for future bookings.
6. Cancellations and Refunds
Each expert defines their own cancellation and refund policy. The platform also sets default rules. Learners and experts are encouraged to review these policies before booking. In case of disputes or technical failures, SkillQnect may intervene and offer discretionary refunds.
7. Rescheduling
Rescheduling requests must be submitted within the defined notice period:
- Standard sessions: minimum 12 hours before the session
- Same-day bookings: at least 1 hour before the session
Each session can only be rescheduled once, and is subject to expert availability and approval.
8. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you create and upload. By sharing content through SkillQnect, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and promote the content solely for the operation and promotion of the platform. You may delete your content at any time, but residual copies may remain for backup and compliance.
9. Community Guidelines
Users must not:
- Upload harmful, illegal, fraudulent, or infringing content
- Harass, impersonate, or abuse other users
- Attempt to bypass payments or exploit the platform
Violations may result in warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans.
10. Privacy
Your data is protected under applicable laws including GDPR, PIPEDA, and India’s IT Act. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information. Data may be processed in Canada, the United States, India, or other jurisdictions as necessary.
11. Platform Availability and Changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Features may change, be discontinued, or restricted without prior notice.
12. Intellectual Property
SkillQnect retains ownership of all platform software, branding, designs, and trademarks. You agree not to copy, reverse-engineer, or distribute any proprietary elements without permission.
13. Feedback
By submitting suggestions or feedback, you grant SkillQnect the right to use and incorporate it without obligation or compensation.
14. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Termination ends your access to the platform but does not affect obligations or licenses that continue under these Terms.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- Canada: Ontario law; disputes handled in Toronto courts
- USA: California law; disputes handled in Santa Clara County courts
- India: Indian law; disputes handled in Chennai jurisdiction
16. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms occasionally. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app. Continued use of SkillQnect after changes implies your acceptance.

Note: Platform fees are non-refundable unless the session is cancelled by the expert or due to a verified platform error.
For any disputes related to sessions or payments, users must report the issue within 48 hours of the session completion by emailing hello@skillqnect.com with relevant evidence.
